Almost 1.8 million veterans in America have no health insurances and half of them said they had no place to go if they are ill, a survey reported said this Tuesday. This study also showed that more than 25 percent of uninsured veterans said they could not come up with the money for prescriptions and more than 20 percent said they could not even buy eyeglasses. The researchers said, the major reason for this large number of uninsured veterans was the reduction of eligibility for health care provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs. And today in US there are almost 24 million veterans, according to the Veterans Affairs.
