Republicans have to propose ways to cover up 45 million Americans who are without health insurance, GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney said today.
The previous Massachusetts governor made the statements to about 150 people at a luncheon in business district Des Moines. Romney is recognized for serving design and passes a Massachusetts plan needed everyone to have health insurance. Those who can't pay for insurance get subsidies, but the policies are offered by private insurers, Romney said. No tax increase was needed, he said.
