HEALTH INSURANCE GLOSSARY-

Minimum Premium Plan

This is considered to be a group
insurance mechanism, where up to a certain amount the employer
would be responsible but if the claim increases over a fixed amount
then the insurance company becomes responsible.

Mandatory Rehabilitation

According
to this process, a disabled individual
can undergo the rehabilitation treatment but if the employee refuses
to cooperate
then he will be aborted from the program.

Medical Necessity

They can be referred as the required and necessary services or
treatment to be given due to illness or injury of an individual.

Medicaid

Suppose an individual
is not able to pay for his medical care, then he can obtain a Medicaid,
for that the individual has to meet some criteria - should have high
medical bills, should receive the supplementary income, should contain
certain disabilities in income, age, resource etc.

Medicare Plans

Medicare is a health
insurance program sponsored by the government and thus it pays
some medical benefit for the disabled and elderly people, but the
individuals should qualify for the plan.

Managed Care

Managed
care can be referred to a faction of people working in health

Often this term gets misunderstood, but managed care is nothing but
an organization which provides benefits for its members.

Managed Care Plans

This is a specific type of health
care plan; if an individual enrolls in this plan then he is provided
with certain extra benefits and he has to abide the conditions of
the managed care plans.
