Analytical and preventative dental plans

Study through the details of the dental
insurance plan you are allowing for and evaluate the coverage they
offer for preventative and indicative procedures. It would be anticipated
that all dental patients would require, at least, the dental
care measures outlined below. A dental
plan should make these benefits very reasonably priced, or even better
yet, cover them at 100%.
• Dental examinations - twice per year.
• Bite-wing x-rays - once per year.
• Teeth cleanings - twice per year.
• Full mouth x-ray series - once every three years.
Dental sealants
Dental plan "basic" dental
services benefits. When a dental problem is recognized it is always
best to have the dental treatment necessary to rectify it performed in
the time frame optional by your dentist. While it is not predictable that
the typical dental plan will envelop the complete cost of this treatment
ideally it should provide enough aid that the care is easily within the
individual's financial reach. Many dental plans will cover 70 to 80 percent
of the cost of the following types of dental work. The term "basic
dental services" is often useful to these types of dental treatment.
• Restorative dental treatment - fillings.
• Enzootic treatment - root canals.
• Oral surgery - tooth extractions.
