Workers Compensation Cancellation
If you wish to cancel the insurance policy before the end
of the policy term, you would pay a penalty. The insurance premium would
be actually based on the time of
insurance policy in force, and increased by a standard short-rate
percentage to cover company expenses. If the company cancels the insurance
policy, the insurance premium would be based on the actual number of days
it was in force (pro-rata). Also, your insurance company might charge
you the minimum
insurance premium when the calculated short rate premium is less than
its established minimum insurance premium. Therefore, read your insurance
policy very cautiously regarding the final determination of insurance
premium upon its cancellation.
